The last time I saw that enticing curve that turns into a smile, which in all ages can make all the things that went wrong that day disappear, he was lying on a bed as I held his hand and the nurses rolled him through doubled doors into a room. I can see from the distant the bright lights that shined on him and I knew the fear he felt that linger chills down my back.It was a cold October morning around 5:41 am, on his way to work a drunk driver had hit him head on. When I received the call my heart shattered as if I could hear the windows of his car scattered everywhere when it was impacted. In twenty minutes I was at the hospital in downtown where the ambulance have taken him. There I was as I peeked through the little rectangle window on the door I saw him laying there helplessly, barely breathing I thought and tears rolled down my cheeks seeing all the wires on him. Walking in as quietly as possible trying not to interrupt anything, I sat down next to him with hands crossed and my elbows laid paralleling to his fragile body I rest my head on the right arm. One blink and I felt the rush of tears running down my face. "Don't leave me, please... don't leave me." He's hardly breathing I thought, this can't be happening. Eleven minutes passed and his monitor started beeping crazy. Nurses rushed into the room as I stood back watching hoping, hoping nothing had gone wrong. A nurse ran out of the room to go fetch a doctor, I heard them saying that a surgical procedure was needed. "A surgical procedure?" I thought, "what for?" He wasn't dead, he was just asleep but now his heart is beating faster and faster. There are two nurses and a doctor in the room with me now, they pushed me out of the way and hurriedly rushed him out. I ran out after them, I caressed his right hand in mines and begged him to wake up, "WAKE UP, WAKE UP, WAKE UP!",  I shouted slobbery while it all felt like my tears were coming from within my heart than my by chiii-yaa | (3) comment
